Devlog #15: Work on ToU has resumed

Hey there!

I've got a lot of news to share regarding my projects, and my personnal life, so let's take the time to wind up what happened in the last few weeks.

Tales of Unity:

These few month working on Project: Jericho proved VERY helpful in my recovery.

And working on it was the right call, after a bit of brainstorming on ideas and ways to progress, I managed to paint a roadmap for all of my projects till the end of August.

Tales of Unity 0.11 was supposed to only have 150 renders, and to be a short update, but I found in myself the will to go beyond.

ToU 0.11 will have 250 renders, and two more events pushing it to being more or less to Project: Jericho's first Alpha size wise.

My aim is to get Project: Jericho's 0.1 out to public by mid July AND ToU's 0.11 around the same time.

Basically, you should have two games to play within the same time period.

I also want to take the time with 0.12 to proprely prepare what will be the culmination and conclusion of Chapter 3 in a few updates.

Starting the very end of 0.11 till the end of 0.13 ToU will take a bit of a slice of life approach, as I'll slow down on drama to focus on improving relationships with every characters, including the ones that you haven't seen in a while.

Himia, Ophelia, Mine, Valoria and the goblins that were introduced in the last handful of updates.

Now that doesn't mean that there won't be any story elements, but I will focus on having the characters spend a good time with each other and engage in a few different scenes with the MC.

Project: Jericho:

I haven't worked on Project: Jericho for reasons that will be explained in the next part.

Unfortunately, IRL kinda caught up to me and prevented me from work, it's not dramatic though, as the 0.1 is on it's last lap, it'll soon be ready.

The game has been on Beta for patrons for a few weeks, and it brought a few people, but I'll admit, clearly less than what I expected, which was honestly to be expected.

Today is the day the build is unlocked for 5$ patrons, so if you're a 5$ patron, please feel free to try it out and to let me know what you think!

The few bits of feedback I recieved were encouraging so far.

As mentioned earlier my plan is to release the full public build by mid july!

Stronk's personnal life:

While things didn't move much during the last few weeks, the loss of a family member led me to take a bit of a lengthy break to gather my thoughts.

As I was falling back into complacency, I was harshly reminded that things suck behind me right now and that I NEED to get my shit together if I want to actually feel satisfied about myself and improve my situation.

And so I did, I got a few appointments back, prepared to do my best to get back on my feet, thankfully with ToU back on track, things should go smoothly and I can hope to build a sustainable income again.

For the coming 6 weeks, I'll be working 1 week on ToU, and another on P:J, with three weeks each of work, I should be able to reach my objective with no problems.

Thanks for reading this Devlog, I wish you the best, take care you my every so faithful reader, and thanks for taking precious time of your day for my eyes.
